Today i lost control and crashed my Sig Twister that Arlie Presler from Lodi California helped my build when i was in 7th grade there in Lodi. The plane was 19 years old. Luckily the wing is in good shape but the fuselage had the engine mount badly torn up . So im gonna save the wing and make a new fuselage and yes ill do the same color scheme that Arlie and i put on it originally. Gonna do a few upgrades on it also.

Really nice looking Twister Andrew. It will be worth the rebuild with the old wing.

Thank you Jim. It will be my winter project. I really loved that plane. Had it for along time.

No sorry. Im gonna be reusing the O.S. Max FP 40 that was on it. It runs great and needs to be cleaned but will still run good. Im not an electric type person. I loe the sound of a nitro engine and the smells of ignited Nitro fuel. Plkus i dont hae the money to put into electric systems. Sorry!!! Not trying to be a jerk but i just like nitro and can afford the setup.

Have finally found time and materials to start rebuilding the sig twister that Arlie Prezler helped me build. I was able to save the wing as it survived the crash. Everything else had to be replaced. Surprisingly, the wing is straighter now then before it crashed. Heres the latest pics.

'looks like a fine rebuild. It's worth it for the friendship memorial as well as th flying potential. 'probably "good as new" and well worth the effort. Some models are living things to us.

Looks good, glad you decided to rebuild. The wing is straighter as most likely there was a slight warp induced when the covering was originally shrunk.

Good news is it should fly better as well!
