The flyer in the ice cream suit is Scott Richlen, the flyer doing the overhead manuver is Al Reid, (two new hips, moves better than some of us with the originals. The pot-bellied fellw sitting down facing the camera is Dick Houser. The fellow in the red shirt is John Suanders, I believe.

I can say once I got there I truly enjoyed myself. The 4 1/2 hour ride I had wasn't so enjoyable. I got a bit lost you could say. I came across some nice folks on what seemed to be a small piece of ground which jutted out into the bay. We reset the GPS and looked over some maps and we made to the contest within an hour. We made it in time to sign in and even get both of our flights in before the weather started to turn. My son doesn't do well on long drives in fact he hates it. The wind was really howling unlike last year. I was happy to fly my kit built Fox.35 powered Oriental which seemingly did real well in that wind. Although, just like most of us there,  things got real light up top with those winds. I had a great dinner on the way home with a few friends and made it home very quickly. It was good to run into familiar faces as well. Thanks for the good time. Ken and Shawn Cook
