Looking for some navy carrier planes

Most people know Angstrom (age 14) and I for flying precision aerobatics, but last year my son got in on some Navy Carrier events. We are in the market to expand our navy carrier fleet, and are especially interested in full body planes. We live in Pennsylvania, and are hopeful that we might be able to obtain the plane(s) at Brodaks or NATs. Please reach out to let us know if you have something. Thanks. -Brendan

I have a Umland Kingfisher carrier plane kit that I received from him in exchange for doing the CAD plans for him. It would be good as a sport flyer and probably excel as a carrier plane (its intended role).

I'm not going to the Nats or Brodak but it can be shipped.

Reach out to Dick Perry. There were a couple ARFs for sale that were listed in the NCS newsletter that would be good. There was also Mike Andersons Electric Class I/II MO-1 for sale that I believe was complete with batteries and all.

After smashing one of our Carrier planes tonight as we tried to pull the slide pin, our small fleet got even smaller.

David, I did see the MO-1 when I reviewed the newsletter a month or two ago. When I enquired it was already taken. Hope to see you and your family at the NATs this year, if not Brodaks.

Not knowing the rules of Navy Carrier, I checked with our club President and NC flier Mike Potter and he says the NC subject has to have been designed for carrier operation, or have taken off and landed on a carrier. He said the P-47 and P-40 were ferried on carriers, but had no hooks and therefore not landed on carriers...so not eligible for NC events requiring scale-ish subjects. Kinda sad, because razorback P-47's are one of my most fav WWII fighters.    Steve
