Hello Bob!
What ever the spelling rules
might be, I doubt if it would apply to
an ancient Irish/Gaelic name like "Keith".
It means "wind" but I don't know where
the wind is supposed to be coming from.(?!)
The real problem with my name is that
it sounds like a cough. When someone is
"hawking up a loogie" it sounds to me
like "Ke...Kei..KEITH! KEITTTHHHHHH!
Bob, feel free to include my line reels
in anything you might wish to write.
Please be certain to mention that
since the handle rides on the reel, that
the lines are rolled up starting at the
handle and walking toward the plane.
Flyers accustomed to the little SIG red
plastic reels always comment on this.
When I was a kid there wasn't any
controline organization in our (then)
farming community. We would simply
go to the school yard or ball diamond
and fly until someone complained or the
cops showed up. I flew with a A-J
U-reely. This was important since you
could roll up the lines and be on your bike
before the patrol car stopped.
When I got back into controline,
The U-reely was out of fashion, so I
invented these reels just incase I had to
run from an irate Contest Director.
So Bob, I got the Scared Kitten in the air
at the Bean Field this past weekend.
The McCoy ran OK when I used Paul
Smith's starter on it. It flew just fine,
looped fine and flew inverted fine,
but the outside turn from inverted to
upright was scarry! It comes right into
the circle every time!
I managed to save it, but.... Whew!
Cheers! - Keith Morgan
