Anyone have a part number and source for a 5mm prop adaptor collet with standard prop shaft?
I bought one from Innov8 and the prop shaft it too large to fit a APC prop.
Thanks

Great reminder, I haven't replaced mine yet. Thanks John.

No the one I got is very large. It would require a drill not a reamer. 😛

5mm to 8mm is not so difficult to find. Hyperion makes 5mm to 6mm but looks sold out in US.

Nothing wrong with drilling out a prop. I usually do it by hand. Is the shaft 8mm, that's the size you want. Less likely to snap when tightening.

APC prop holes are seldom centered. I always drilled them to 3/8" from the back using the centered 3/8" dent. Then I used a spacer. You can print a spacer.

Best prop adapter that I ever used. Not always easy to get.

You live in Kern County? Paul has a 3D printer for which he’s looking for projects.

I use the Eflite EFLM1925L collet adapter. It fits a 5mm motor shaft, has a 1/4-28 threaded shaft with a bullet nut and has a 3/8” short extension to catch the precision alignment surface of APC props. I ream out the non-precision 1/4 inch hole in the APC prop to clear and let the precision 3/8 inch hole guide the prop onto the collet adapter. The Eflite adapter is available at Horizon Hobby, Amazon or your LHS.
