Colpar Hobbies was a nice shop, on the east side of town (Aurora). They don't list much control line stuff on their web site, but that's not unusual these days.

Whenever I'm in Denver I try to stop by Thompson's Hobbies. It is a great hobby shop that has control line STUFF!!!
That's hard to find these days.
And if your wife is into doll houses they have a lot of that too. Even if she isn't it gives her something to look at while you're doing your "shopping".
I will be on vacation at the end of this month and we are planning on being in Denver so I guess I will have to force myself to stop by.
I live in a small town without a hobby shop so when I get to one I tend to take a lot of time and try to take in everything they have at least twice.
The best hobby shop I remember was in the Denver area, it was called Tom Thumbs. I used to go in there with my Grandpa when I was a kid and then later after I (grew up) like that will ever happen.
I went to Automotive college in Denver so I had a lot of time but no money but looking and dreaming was fun.
Sorry to ramble on but I was reminiscing with myself and got carried away.

Dennis,
My wife is from Denver. We lived there from 59 till 63 (AF), and go there every few years to visit family. Tom Thumb hobbies was also my favorite hobby shop in Denver.
Years later, they moved farther east on Colfax, very close to Fitzsimmons Army Hospital, but I don't know what happened to the shop after that.
