   I think that it is Top Flight that makes the ones that I use, and yes I do like them..

Like Claudio I use the Sakura Pigma archival pens. Work pretty well and don't bead up.

Chuck,
There are many retired Grumman engineers and draftsmen in the Stuart and Ft Pierce area.
They grew up using Rapidograph pens.
Find one, and ask if he or his buddies have any they want to part with.

Rapidograph pens are the way for black panel lines..

Testors used to have a paint pen available in several colors, but they have been replaced by a narrow brush type pen that is too wide.

I have an applications that I need red lines for. Has anyone tried dope in a wide rapidograph?

Problem with the fine point Sharpies is, they tend to fade in the sun over time. Or at least that's been my experience.

 Hi.

 Rotring Rapidograph's have a single-use ink reservoir. They can be re-filled using a pipette with a long, thin tube but it can get messy. I prefer Rotring Isograph pens, they are similar to Rapido's but with a reservoir that is designed to be re-filled.
 Just make sure that you use the "MF" ink, ment for plastic drafting film. Even then the adhesion is not allways the best, I've found that a homeopatic amount (add with  tip of a pin to ink reservoir) of dishwashing liquid is enough to kill the surface tension. L

I've had "sharpie lines" (black) under "auto clear" for three years now and they still look the same as when applied. H^^
