Title: Lookin for a hobby shop'
Post by: Lester Nicholson on January 04, 2012, 07:01:14 AM
Mother had a stroke and had to drop everything and come to Maine to look after her for a spell. Looks like I"m gonna be here for a couple of months. Does anybody know of a shop within 100 miles of East Millinocket, Maine. Just want something to kill time as we wait. Thank you. Oh. btw she's doing fine and needs one more sugery in Feb for an occluded cararted artery.  Nick

That's good news that your mother is doing well! Enjoy her while you can, it's been 8 years since my mother left us. BTW, I don't have a clue about HSs in Maine, sorry.

I googled that area for hobby shops.  Looks like the only one within 100 miles has recently closed.  Like me, you will likely have to order from afar.

Speaking of hobby shops, does Lexington, KY have a LHS now that Lew is gone?

Nick, also glad to hear your Mom is okay.

Tim,  afar place means a hop, skip and jump in Missouri when I was in the souther half.

In reality if you find some craft stores close they might have balsa and glue.   Or google for radio control stores/shops. H^^

Afar means beyond an easy driving distance, say over 100 miles.
