Title: LO-CG limits..?
Post by: Joe Yau on August 01, 2011, 01:26:22 PM
Just wondering what are the limits?   I was told 1.25" LO center behind the CG is a good start. but what is strange was.. On my TF Score having it at 3/4" was not flying well till its at .25" behind the CG   :o then everything just clicked! it tracks perfectly.   But isn't that too far forward?  (number wise)

Thanks in advance.

It's certainly odd.  You could run Line III on this and probably get that 1-1/4" number.

LO position is 'right' when the plane's yaw is as close to right as can be in both level flight and overhead.  Are you sure that you don't have a warp someplace (like, in the rudder) that is causing some yaw?

I've checked and have rechecked.  then I even removed the 2 degree (stock) of engine off-set. so, it was at zero, and the rudder is also zero.
