So a demo team has been flying instruction and doing demos for years.
Those are the people that I'm refering to that cannot seem to keep their models out of my circle.
Now EAA has a document that provides guidelines and enforcement. In the past security guards did not know what to do except have a friendly conversation that did not always go well.
EAA can make policy until they are blue in the face but security guards will do little to no good in enforcing these regulations without FAA support. The only way to enforce these neat new rules is to have FAA folks out there writing fines for airspace violations, and I'm not betting the farm on that happening.
I could see some vendor trying to set up and fly his stuff. Or a non eaa film crew filming the event for profit from the parking lot.
I don't think you should read anything more into it than that.
We've seen several instance of sUAS operators doing whatever they want without the thought of consequences posted on this forum alone...
Assuming everyone plays by the rules, the least of everyone's worries is airspace congestion. That sUAS corridor buts RIGHT against one of the CL circles. No buffer area at all. The RC guys at least have "competent" "Instructors" behind the controls. From what it sounds like, this corridor is simply a place for these sUAS guys to fly, meaning no supervision and someone could show up with one of these things that they bought an hour before and fly it, with no prior experience, around some pretty congested areas, say, the CL/RC field and that pedestrian crosswalk that crosses the runway.
Again, assuming everyone plays by the rules...
