Live Scoring from the Nats?
« on: July 17, 2019, 04:48:04 PM »
Good afternoon,

Was I imaging this, but was there "live scoring" for C/L Aerobatics at last years Nats? Will there be "live scoring" this year?

I would be happy if someone would just post a snapshot of the scoreboards every now and then.  Somehow I think that everybody there thinks that someone else is doing it.

Last I heard, about an hour ago, tabulation of scores has been a real problem.  Scores weren't posted at that time..

Flying ended around 2:00pm today, tabulation ended at 7:30 pm. There were 980 individual score sheets, that had to be entered twice today. Thats 1960 pages of data entry.... A new process will be implemented tomorrow to speed things up.

How many entrants?  That number sounds -- big.  Happily so.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

70 entrants, and 14 judges.

That was the first round only and that was after everyone was done with the second round and we had eaten lunch and came back around 3:30. I will post when it's available to me.

Here is the link to the live scoring. https://pampacl.org/live-scores/

It wasn't up yesterday as the tabulators had enough going on. For qualifying its only Open results. Tomorrow it will be both Advanced and Open.

It has a mobile text message system setup and is pretty easy to setup. Enjoy!

What's up with Paul Walker's first-round flight?  Is he going to fly the second round?  Is Howard going to have to carry the banner for the PNW?
