Well I guess all the wing warps equalled out so the plane prettymuch flew good from the start. I would like to think I am a good builder and I know I am not but I did full pattern on second flight. Only thing I had to do was take off some tail wieght. Now IO need longer lines. Fox 25 breaks like Fox 35 but need to load the engine with bigger prop. Nope> It's the 3 bolt backplat with the long cast venturi. Scott Riese made the exhuast extension for it. The engine runs great. I just need more load on it for a little better break and I think I could actually run a muffler on it. Fun stuff. Plane built off Artic Fox plans that Pat Johnston drew. I just had them reduced to 38" wingspan.

What prop were you running on it Leo? I have the ' AP^54 Model Fox 25 and was thinking of using it on a light ringmaster. I was thinking a

Hi Leo,
I have several of those model Fox 25s (1054-1957). They seem to have all the positives of the stunt run of a good Fox 35 (and about as strong!) but weigh so much less (.29 sleeve/piston in a .19 case!). They will fly a Still Stuka REAL good as long as it isn't a really over weight pig.
I got some 9.5-6 Aldrich props (Prather gauge=5, 5 1/2 pitch), and they work really great in most set ups. A 10-5 might be pushing it, unless it is a nice lightweight wood. Maybe not.........

The plane flys good and stays in the grove both directions but it still needs trim. To make it fly like a larger plane you have to take away the jumpyness that small lite planes are accustomed to doing or as we say it's a little squarrely. This is what I will be doing the next time out. I like small planes but they really require more trimming to make them fly a really good pattern. It's just fun and maybe a waste of time but it shure fits in the car good. HB~>
