While going thru the carrier portion of this great forum, I noticed a comment that Bill Bischoff made about lines.  He stated that he pre-stretched his lines before making them up for the planes.  I don't know how I  missed that statement before or maybe it is old age.  But, has anyone done this for stunt lines? H^^

It is a great tip.  Now that being said......it's one more thing to remember to do.  I have done my last two line sets that way, with my wife's assistance.

I made a machine to duplicate line length accurately, so it can tell if new lines stretch relative to old lines.  I used it to compare two new lines using cable from MBS Model Supply with two old lines.  The old and new lines remained the same length at any tension up to 20 lb. or so.

Howard,
Scale class carrier planes are routinely pulled at 80-100lbs, maybe that would make a difference, does your machine go that high?
