Yous state you are using two .40 size engines which equal .80.  This is straight from the rule book on the AMA site and is for 2005-2006 cycle.  I did not see a change for 2007.    Engine size .7629-.9153   Length  25 to 70 feet(that is center of plane to center of handle)  Solid wire  single line .021(monoline)  two wire  .018.   For two wire cable it must be .021.  Hopes this helps.  You can go to the AMA site and click on documents, then competition segment and research the rules.  DOC Holliday

Doc,

Keith Trostle proposed a rule change regarding line size.  I am woundering if it was regarding the .021 cable size on the large engines be changed to .018 for two cables?
Or it could have been regarding line size for larger eletric engines.  UUGGHH, too many changes to fast - I'm getting old, I can't keep up!!!
