AMA is now again offering Life Membership that gets you a Gold card.  They didn't have the gold card when I was younger and if I had known the good LORD was going let me live this long I would have gotten a Life Member card.  How many on here are life members? D>K ???

To my knowledge they have always had a life membership. Somewhere along the line of my being a member since 1975, the figure $1200 comes to mind in my early days . I think a few members of the free flight club had the "L" in front of a 3 or 4 digit number. Too late to start thinking about it now!!!

L-7921, circa 1991/1992, $1500 as I remember!!  Lord knows, it has become a worthwhile investment albeit, at the time, a bit painful to the wallet!!

Too late for me, might be a nice option for someone 40 years or younger. Seeing the government seems to clamping down on flying, I don't know how much longer model aviation will be around (or should I say model quad aviation). :-X

Wouldn't be surprised if someone comes up with model quad CL flying.  %^@
