Yesterday a new car pulled into my driveway. Actually that is nothing new here, my son is a mechanic. I thought it was him because it came in at landing speed.
A few minutes went by and I was on the computer and my back was to the door. Someone came in and the first words out of their mouth were whats for supper. I was about to say can't you even say hello first and I turned to see who was talking.
Instant shock, standing in the doorway was my number one son home from Iraq. After I regained my composure and many many hugs later Life is good. It doesn't get any better than this.
I have much to be thankful for. a complete family ranks #1 in my book.
Just thought you might like to hear a happy ending for a change.

Bill, I know that feeling. Each time I see my son after a mission it is like the first time I saw him when he was born. He is now in the most treacherous place in the world, Washington, DC.
Thanks to the Gruby family for their service and thanks for sharing the news.

HI Bill
Great news!
Very happy to hear of your surprise, my kid was a Marine Sargent stationed in Iraq a couple of years back, he came home 2 years ago after serving his time in the Marines. He has just signed up in the ARMY now, and has been sent to Asia. He will go Helicopter training at some point to fly attack Hellicopters s .
We will wait patiently for his return one day maybe in a year or so
Regards
Randy

Amen. My daughter just left for college last fall. She's only 95 miles away but I miss her as much as she is homesick for us.
Family is precious.

I don't post much, but I can say that this touched me. I know exactly how you feel. We went to St. Louis on the 15th of January and met a plane with the youngest on it.
We hadn't seen him for 10 months. He was in Iraq, working in a detainee center. We talked on the phone, we talked on the computer. we sent emails but when I could touch him once again. I know.
Many hugs. He probably wishes Dad would ease off a bit. Anyway Congrats on your son also coming home. Its just about too wonderful for words.
Now if they could get this thing figured out so all the sons and daughters could come home. That would be good.
Best to all
Bill
Keep em flyin!
