Leon Shulman- Designer of the Zombie and Lethal Lucy

I read a post from Peabody on another forum that he had attended a memorial service for Leon. All of us who knew him even if only by reputation or at the IMAA meets used affectionately  call him the living legend.
Hopefully some appropriate details will be posted on the remembrance forum.
Leon was 97 years old, a WW2 veteran who flew B-24 Bombers. a designer, manufacturer and sales  rep for just about every manufacturer on the East coast

He was a super person and his contributions could fill pages.

He flew a lot of ukie in the late 40s and early 50s.

Flew free flight ( ZOMBIE and more) with the  Linden, NJ Club ,  ukie with the Union Model Airplane Club,  R/C with the Round Valley Model Airplane Club and West Jersey Radio Flyers- to name a few.

 His motto " Keep 'em flying "  goes back to his service days. 

Another one gone from the greatest generation, ever...

Leon Shulman was an inspiration to many a modeller with many exciting ideas and designs like the Drone Diesel engine that early flapped stunter from 1952 the Lethal Lucy.
He did a B class team racer called the Challenger and a really nice scale B26 Marauder from 1953 for two .29's .
In deed a great modeler and loss to the world.

P.S. Still haven't finished building my two Lethal Lucy models with too much competition on the building/repair board but was keen to fly them in vintage stunt with Fox 59's with shaft extensions but know they will have many issues compared to more recent classic models.
