Any one try this yet ? Any mods needed (like lop some off the nose or)? I am looking at this one real hard right now.

Have the kit and engine but haven't started it yet, probably this winters project. Also have a built Legacy that I'm going to be playing with before I build the 2nd one.. Not sure when I'll get to it but playing with the retrofit should sure tell us what needs to be done (if anything) to the nose.
I would be hesitant to shorten the nose by very much.. I am finding I need to add nose weight to my Somethin'Extra with a 56. I would stick a 62 in it but afraid 2 tents of an ounce won't help much.

Thanks for the reply Bob, I thought I saw a pic of someones Legacy with a fourstroke exhaust sticking out of it. I should get the kit soon (ordered it through LHS). The local shop has been keeping a pretty good size CL stock on hand so I figure I should do trade there. Not just mail order to get better deals. I am having a hard time getting my projects going or completed , so I continue to aquire until I can get on a roll.

Keith Sandberg from Minneapolis has flown one for a few years now with a Saito .56 and it is an EXCELLENT combination. I believe he did shorten the nose some, but how much I don't know.

Keith S moved the Saito back by the distrance between the front and rear engine mpounting holes.That would be about 3/4 inch. He said this weekend that it is at about 700 flights now. Good stunt machine. The 62 should be really awesome!
