Lee, MA meet scores?
« on: August 07, 2012, 11:05:19 AM »
Hi, guys, did anyone take a photo of the scoreboard?  I can't seem to find my worksheet of final scores...getting old isn't as much fun as I hoped.  Appreciate any help with this...thanks!

Thanks, Matt, that's what I needed.  Nice flight to win Expert, the wind was tough! Peabody, you're always welcome in the Berkshires!

I wanted a second flight so bad.... wind killed me on the 1st flight along with the overrun... conditions just kept getting worse...

Hey thanks to Bill for organizing, Noel Drindak and Jim Damerell for judging, and Steve Teerlinck for tabulating!

Thanks Bill! The Stunt in the Berkshires contest is one we always try to make, it's one of my favorites (when the weather cooperates).

If anybody is interested, here are the top three in expert:

3rd place, Will Moore:

2nd place, Mike Chiodo:

1st place, Yours truly:

When I first looked at the pic I thought you had placed 8th and Grandpa 1st.   Had to take a little closer look.   It was windy in Tulsa last Saturday, but the alarm was set wrong, so I didn't get there in  timeto fly profile.   Had the Doodle Bug ready to go. H^^

Congrats Matt!

And... I'm surprised no one else noticed on the score board. Maybe it's old news to some of y'all but I'll say it anyways:

Welcome back Steve Buso!!!
I spoke with Steve a little when he was judging at Top Gun a few years ago. I sensed a little spark of interest returning. It's great to see he is back on the circle.

Steve flew a new design as well! It was called the Bobcat.  Sadly I didn't get a picture of it, but it was simply beautiful!!  I got the plans to it already, and it's a small 35 ship.  It would probably fly a lot better with modern power instead of the Fox 35 he had in it, which struggled a lot getting through the pattern.  I got video of it, and if there's people who want to see him fly, I'll post it on Youtube.

Here's a link to some photos I took on contest day. There's a picture of Steve in there with his new Bobcat, though I think that Will Moore has a better one.

Here is Steve Buso's Bobcat.

Beautifully made and painted up with a re-worked Fox 35

Flew very well. It was very nice talking with Steve.

A very gifted designer and painter indeed !!!!

I looked here in the Events thread and didn’t see any info on this meet. I also looked in Model Aviation, admittedly only June, July, and August, and again no mention of this contest.

Had I known about it I would have attended, with every intention of bringing home a trophy.

How can I get an invitation for next year?

Hi Louie!  Yeah, wish we could do it again. Everything changes...

This was one of my favorite contests growing up. Lots of memories at that field! The 2008 Lee contest where Windy’s Novanta crashed is/was one of the most memorable contests I’ve ever attended
