Learning things
« on: April 09, 2011, 08:09:42 AM »
They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks.   Went over to check on Bobby Hunt's electric build.  Don't go there much as I don't do electric yet.   Crist Rigotti's new build caught my eye.   Between him and Bobby this old man is trying some new stuff.   Just finished the shear webs in the trailing edge of my new project last night.  Will be try Crist's ideas on the flaps and elevator also.   Taking  lots of photos as I go, so get ready for a boring post one of these days when I devulge the project.  Need to get the bellcrank done and the leading edge  done.  Then it's the tips, weight box and leadout guide.

I want to thanks all the guys for their input here on the forum.   H^^

Just correcting Crist's name as someone pointed out to me.   Yes there was and is only one CHRIST.   Hope Crist will still talk to me. LL~ LL~ LL~

Hi John,

I agree, without the help of the forum this hobby would be a lot harder. When in doubt about something just type in search on what ya want to do and most of the answer are here on this forum. If not just ask the question and most of the time someone will help ya. I enjoy building, not good at it, and many time I've checked out what someone else has done and its helped me. I thank and appreciate all the people that has help us on this forum. I used to watch video's of Windy building the nobler and that was the start of opening up my eyes that these plane can be done a lot better and I still watch Windy cough his way thru a paint job or sanding and saying you shouldn't be sanding or painting in a closed area. That Mr. Windy is smart and funny, I really enjoy watching him.

Yes!
With out the help of this site (and the other) and posters it is possible that returning to C/L may not have happened for me.

Thanks to all for input and help.

One Day I would like to officially thank those who have gone above and beyond to help me although sometimes I get the impression that some would rather remain anonymous, so still trying to figure out how to do so with out embarrassing or offending any.
