Hi all, I have really been on a building spree over the past year. This is my latest, it's the Yates Madman. Eric Rule at RSM Distributions will soon be offering this beautiful plane and he asked me if I would build the first model and identify any problems in the kit before sending it out to customers. Well I am happy to say the kit will be a very nice build for anybody wanting something really different. The wing has a tapered leading and trailing edge and it has dihedral.
The original design I built did in fact have an I-beam spar with split ribs built around the spart. The I-Beam has been replaced with a boxed spar so the ribs can slide on to the spar instead of being built around the spar. The wing is built upside down using the fuselage and special wing tip ribs as a jig. The main spar is is built into the fuse and the ribs are added to the spar and tied into the leading and trailing edge. It is sort of a combination I-beam (boxed spar) and regular C-Tube construction. It is different from anything I have ever built. Anyway when it is finished I will post more pictures.

Hey Andy, it looks great. Were all the ribs in the kit? A little story between Eric and myself. Maybe he will tell you about it. VD~ S?P H^^
