Lancaster Bomber - Starting & Takeoff.
« on: August 15, 2011, 06:34:35 PM »
After seeing another video posted on a multi engine model starting, I was inspired to finally upload a video of the Bomber.

I regret to say that - I do not have any really decent quality video footage of the model actually flying. ( I have some shaky grainy footage someone shot on a Phone camera. )
I also have footage I shot at the Nats on a tripod but it was a bit too close to the circle and you dont see everything clearly )

I know there is footage of it floating around but not in digital format, What I really need to do is get the model out again and refilm it with a digital camera.

For now - please enjoy the starting proceedure.

Good ole electric finger, works every time.  But, did have one engine that would not start with the E-finger.  One or two flips by hand.   A K&B .40 RC. H^^

My brother Dan (the FF guy) told me about a Spruce Goose that he watched.  8 TD .010 engines.  Said it sounded like a swarm of bees.

Thanks..

Its not really a sunday flier.. You only get to that point with alot of time and practice.

Id like to get it out again and have some flights just to put up some videos, but to do it justice, I need to get it back to Nats trim, which (if I recall) was painfull physically and mentally.

Eventually Id like to build another one lighter and smaller. However for now the next 3 years are already booked with my 2013/2014 stunt program.
