Hello

I have some information.

Some of the links on the Tower site are a bit messed up. I found info for the O.S. 25 LA engines on the link for .15 size engines. O.S. is in the process of replacing some, or all of the LA blue finish engines, with natural finish versions. If you scroll through a bunch of Tower's engine size listings, you will see that this is the case.

As far as I've been able to determine, the .15 and the .25 are going natural finish. I don't know if O.S. is continuing this with any of the other sizes.

Per my phone discussion with Tower customer service, all the blue LA engines are gone! #^

Natural finish will now be supplied for the LA series as new stock arrives.  What took so long???

I wonder if anybody has an inside information?  Is this just a "Tower thing" or does it go back to the source?

In searching Tower's menus, there seems to be an end to most-all small (airplane) engines in the .10-.15-.25 range.  Maybe production capacity is being diverted to cars and helicopters.

Can you say "electric power" ?

Electric,,, maybe so...

I've got a lifertime supply of LA 25's, I'm just concerned about ongoing participation in our new LA 25 racing events.   Worse yet, the "AX" series seems to have fallen off the menu, too.

My best case scenario is that at newer, better 15's & 25's are in the pipelines.

This stuff happened now and again when we were hungry for G21/35's in Combat.

There is an announcement about this in the current issue Flying Models.

Tower lists this replacement.

                           www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXPUE2&P=SM

Didn't know how to make a link but when I copied and pasted the above address it took me to the page with the new natural finish OS .25 LA S.  Scroll down and find a replacement backplate and needle if you don't like the remote needle.
