Frank,
Fantastic job! BTW, are you using different a blue on the model than the vertical fin trim, or is it just an optical illusion from the lighting? ???  Its comming along nicely!

thankyou fellas..................the fin got some red overspray on it. It will be the same blue as the rest after I start the touch ups.

It still won't fit in my truck.

last year we figured that at 51 mph on 70 foot lines at 75 oz. it would give about 13 lbs. of pull.

It's so much easier to take pictures of model airplanes than it is to build 'em and paint 'em, I figured I'd take one more.

Hey Frank, that plane is really sharp! I cant wait to see it in person. Its a beauty.  You gonna let me launch it for you?  >:D hehe

I bet once you get the flaps and the elevators installed, it will fit in your truck much easier. You'll see, trust me.  ;D

See you soon,

Greg

Frank, I would sh!t if I had your airplane under my control !!!!! I dont know if I could "handle" the excitment. It would be an experience, thats for sure. I'll be much closer to you soon, maybe I could fit it in my truck when we fly. How far are you from Algonac? 23Mile Rd at Harsens Island? Thats where I'll be living soon.

And, I guess I can say it now that my flying for the season is about over. I burned almost three gallons of fuel, (most ever for me in a season) improved my flying and pattern by a huge amount (thanks to you and John) and I didnt crash once. (not counting the New Years day crash) I did not have to repair a plane from my crashs, at all, i cant belive that.

Cant wait to hear the twin engine sound of your behemoth, sweet! y1

Living there you would be about an hour away. It'll be cool having you this close. Maybe we'd get to fly together more often.
You had a real good season that's for sure. You'll be amazed at how your model collection grows once you quit breaking them. Now that you can fly the pattern and gotten contest oriented you'll be flying with purpose. That's a good thing!!

Once I've got a season on the twin I'll be happy to let you take it for a ride. I can't wait to hear those two 40s singing together either.

You know how much I love pictures.........here is one of the heat I took a few months ago. I've come a long way baby.

Frank,

She's really coming together nicely.  She'll be a striking model in the air.

Seeing all this paint has really got me wishing I were at that point with my project.  I had to slow down and endure a little surgury last Thursday.  Nothing major ( hernia) but I'm not supposed to be jostling around for a while. Had to order more balsa & glue anyway.
