«

Hey Gents-
I will be in Los Angles this weekend with a rental car and alot of time to kill. Any hobby shops or local events in say a 150 mile radius that I should check out?
Thanks -Alex

Smith Brothers in Northridge is a top notch hobby shop. Address is 8941 Reseda Blvd. Second to that is Covina Hobbies on Citrus near Badillo in Covina. The main flying sites are Whittier Narrows and the Sepulveda Basin. You can get full info on the Knights of the Round Circle site at
www.KOTRC.org
If you have never visited one, Harbor Freight is a chain of tool stores that are remarkable for their variety and prices. Check out their website for a convenient location.

For a great laugh, go to the Sepulveda Basin flying field in Van Nuys. Go to the RC area and bring a boom box.
Insert CD or tape of the Benny Hill theme song. Sit back and enjoy.

Go to Whittier Narrows in So. El Monte. Show your AMA card to get free admission to the park. There will be the usual combat ruffians and a plethora of people practicing stunt for the upcoming Golden State Championships.
