Good news for KOI
« on: January 07, 2010, 09:22:04 AM »
Just checked Yahoo weather. If it's correct, we may be treated to some really good weather. On Friday and Saturday, mid 60s.  #^ #^ #^

Hope it's accurate.

If anyone is going down from the north on I-95, feel free to stop in and visit. My home is just 1.8 miles northeast off exit 115 in SC.
Call or e-mail if you want to visit. I plan to be there until Friday morning.

OK I will be nice and not tell what the weather is like here in So. Cal..  Suffice it to say it is T-shirt/bar-b-que weather.

On a different note, I am waiting for Larry Renger (AKA Designman) to pick me up and go setup our booth at the AMA Convention.  The Knights of the Round Circle have a booth every year at the convention, we are THE ONLY control line representation at the entire convention.

Hey Andy,

Be sure to wear a coffee-colored tee shirt just in case of accidents.

Bill,
Do I detect a bit of toungue-in-cheek history coming through there?

As we get closer to the actual flying dates, the NOAA detailed graphs become more useful. With an hourly representation of percentage of sky cover, wind direction, and wind speed, you can predict what times of day you will likely be flying looking into the sun, for example. Precip is also graphed.

Overview:
http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?CityName=Starke&state=FL&site=JAX&textField1=29.9469&textField2=-82.1122

Hourly Graphs:
http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?CityName=Starke&state=FL&site=JAX&textField1=29.9469&textField2=-82.1122&FcstType=graphical

NOAA keeps the graphs in real time, so you can also check what the forecast is for a few hours later in the same day.
