One idea on keeping shipping charges reasonable is to offer USPS, UPS and FedEx.  For kits, UPS has the best rates as they do not have the massive USPS "length" surcharge.  Though USPS is good for some locations, like Alaska.  This is a fairly long and bulky kit, and the shipping is not excessive, with options:

There's a Ringmaster box on Ebay right now that's exactly that. It's a box filled with scraps. I contacted the seller because he had it listed as an incomplete kit for $40. I asked him to show the contents. He has updated the photos. It's a box and unusable contents. Nothing in it is Ringmaster except maybe some paperwork.

Most out there are scammers. Only a few on eBay who are legit.

If the seller uses the term "vintage" they might be a scammer.
