Kit Survey for the PA-48 Piper Enforcer (Cancelled - Not sufficinet interest)

This would be a prospect for the near future if there would be enough interest for the kit.   Somebody on here jogged my memory by saying something about the Piper PA-48 Enforcer and I contacted Larry Richards to ask him if he ever made a kit of it.  He told me no but I had it confused with the F94 Starfire that he did produce and that I built years ago.

Anyway, I digress.  The PA-48 Enforcer would be easy to do as it is basically the shape of a P51 D Mustang less the radiator and with wing tanks.  If I could get enough positive feedback and commitments to produce the kit, I would certainly consider it.  I do have someone who can do the CAD work but am still in negotiations to find a laser cutter that could produce the kits for me.

Right now I am just looking for feedback from you all, not commitments.  If I can get everything worked out on my end and you all give me enough positive feedback, I will proceed with pursuing it.

I am thinking to size the model to fit a .46 size engine.  I could also do an electric version as well if wanted.

That looks like a cool project Mike.  Here is another airplane that looks like / uses the 51 parts.  I was going to draw it up but this life time wont allow me to.  You can delete this post if you want or roll with design it.

Looks like a winner Mike.  I would like one if you can get a laser cutter.  Can you give me an idea of the wing span?   I would like to see around 52" to 54" as the 46 has a lot of power.  Not worried about price as I know you will be fair.

I know this thread is about the turbine powered Mustangs, but this item regarding the Commonwealth Aircraft CA 15 got into the discussion.  The concept for the Australian Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation (CA-15) was originally for a high performance fighter for the P&W 2800 Double Wasp radial engine.  Since the P&W engine might not have been available in sufficient numbers, the design was changed for the Rolls-Royce Griffin.  The CA-15 had a strong external resemblance to the P-51 which was built under license by CAC as CA-17 and CA-18 and would eventually have replaced those aircraft.  First flight was on March 4, 1946, damaged in December 1946.  A speed was recorded of just over 500 mph after a pull out from a 4,000 foot dive.  Level speed was said to be around 450 mph.

I was interested, so that made two. I have no idea where the post went expressing that. I thought it was a neat aircraft considering it was made here in Lakeland/Linder, after Cavalier gave up on it. With a turtledeck and a birdcage canopy could be the "Beguine".
