Well the shop has been cleaned and sorted.  But I seem to have lots of unbuilt kits.  So to display them for all envious eyes I stood them on the end of the box and leaned 'em against the wall.  I've seen this method in old hobby shops, but does anyone know if it warps the wood by bowing as a result of leaning?  HMMMMMM...

Maybe not totally related, but I don't store my boxed wooden arrows (I shoot traditional long bow), in the vertical, because it will impart a slight bowing. I store the boxes flat. I would assume that since balsa wood is softer and thinner it would bend as well. I would store the kits flat. Only few kits I have unbuilt are stored flat.

I think part of the answer lies in how the wood is packaged inside the kit, if the wood is supported enough that it cannot bow naturally from gravity when standing on end, then it may be ok. But I have always felt it better to store them flat personally

Yes, overtime the wood will develope a slight bend / warp in it - especially if formed leading / trailing edges.
Best to store them flat.
