Title: Kit Review of the LaDonna
Post by: Jack Sheeks on December 24, 2009, 08:59:03 AM
Just a note to tell you about the LaDonna kit from Walter Umland. Just received  my kit and went over it from top to bottom. Boy he sure did a great job on it. The lazer cutting is the best I,ve seen in any kit. The plans are more than complete and he also included a disk for instruction. Now that should be a first. The wood is very, very light also. Plus the model flys extremly well. Fact is it is the first model I ever won first place in a big contest. Anyway it's very good model and if you would like to try a twin boom model ,this is a good one. Sincerly Jack Sheeks  Walter Umlands phone # 1-386-447-4247 and 1-386-445-1174  Better get yours now before they are all gone.

Santa, uh, I mean Walter was good to me today. My La Donna just showed up. Beautiful kit to say the least. Will be almost a shame to build it as it looks so righteous in the box.

Mine arrived by "Big Brown Limo" (UP delivery truck) today. Everything that's been said about the kit is true. Be sure and assemble the booms with the right parts in the right place. If done correctly, the booms will fit perfectly, if not, well, you've been warned.

Way to go Walter.

BTW, if you weren't on the list, you'll have to hope he makes another run of them. Only a little more than a dozen were ordered, so not many produced.

I agree with you Leester, but you would'nt want to call Jack an "old pilot" would you? ??? "master" or "Sir" perhaps?  ;D
Seasons Greetings one and all, I raise my glass ( literally ) to you all, well its past midday (well the sun is over the yardarm) here in England and its Xmas, so its time for an alcoholic drink I fee?l n~.

Welcome to you Jack.

Cheers   Neville

Now Jack knows why if I have the funds I don't hesitate to order one of Walter's kits.  Hope to get my shop back soon so I can start mine.  It will not be at VSC this year.  Broke rule last year of flying a plane at VSC for the first time at VSC again.  MERRY CHRISTMAS

Don't worry Clint, I meant the LaDonna kit.   The Humbug should have stayed home until it was ready.  I plan on being there just so I can bug you in person.

Oh, Okay. Actually, it's probably me that bugs you because you always bring a shade tent and I'm always hot!

I got my LaDonna too. I'd have to say that this is one of Walters best efforts to date. Beautiful wood quality and laser cutting. I think this one is going to the front of the line for building.
