The kits are excellent. I have built a few and all parts fit perfectly, great wood selection and the online building instructions are very complete.

Cory,

Let me be the first to tell you that the Umland kits are the best of the best! Nobody is making "better" ones although some are just as good.

I have several. All I need is to build'em!

Cheers, Jerry

Exactly what the others have said, in addition if you have a question he is more than willing to help at any point of the build. You can't buy one and be done! You will want the fleet! :)

As Russ says,  if I had the $$$ and room I would have every one of Walters kits.

If you are not opposed to scratch building, Steve Moon @ Ultra Hobby Products has plans for a profile Gieseke Nobler that uses a combination of balsa/foam/plywood.

I am confused - What is the purpose of a profile Nobler.  I would think that if you want a profile ship that you would want a modern design.   However if it just has a Nobler outline and the airfoil of a morderan stunter it would make sense.   Just woundering.   ???

PS I have not built a Walter kit however I have seen them.  They look really good.   I do have one of his kits on order.  Looking forward to having a great build.   #^

The pricey part is because Walter puts a LOT of work into engineering the kit, doing the cad work, and pulling the project together. The wood is always first rate and that ain't cheap anymore. Add in that the kits aren't made in great numbers like kits in the old days, and that affects price. But they are worth every penny. I know you mates down under are at a disadvantage for getting these and other kit makers products from this hemisphere, but such is the way of the world now. Maybe science can clone Walter and send a copy of him down there to take care of your needs?? Maybe Walter can start to franchise out BuiltRight kits? Like some of the others, I have been stashing some of Walter's fine goods for "one of these days" and just have to decide which one to do first.
   Type at you later,

One fellow in the PNW uses a profile Nobler to fly in Classic and then Profile, of course with the classic airfoil not modernized.

Scroll down a couple here

Get plans for a Sig Twister. Very easy to build and perfect for your motor. Plans can be found free on plans sites or maybe someone one here has a set.
