From I-10 (Exit 333) & CR 125
(Mobile Gas Station on left)
(watch for Model Aircraft Event or Air show signs)

Go 8 miles north on CR 125 , turn right on Crews Rd.

Proceed about 2 miles on Crews Rd,  Just past the sharp right curve on Crews Rd. is Camp Tracy Rd, (which is a dirt road, go slow, bumpy spots)
Make a right turn

About 3 tenths of a mile in, look for the ShadeTree Club Sign & make a right.

Follow the signs in....

   Hi Gene!  Just checking in, a bit early, but I just wanted to make sure this site is the same as the one we flew at last year because we have about 4 new members in our little "club" that we're hoping will be coming up and even competing  !

I will let Gene answer your question on field location, but it was great see you again last year, Gene and the entire club  does a outstanding job running the event,  lots of restaurants close by, very reasonable hotels, great food at the field last year too.

I am making a extended vacation out of my annual king orange trip this year, I have not missed one since 1996 ..

HEADS UP!

The KOI is NOT at the same field as last year.!!!  Our new ShadeTree Field is just down the road apiece.  There will be signs to the field beginning as you exit I-10.
Please see Gene's directions.  Gene is always very thorough.

The old site was sold & now is a horse pasture.

Gene called me the other night and asked why people were putting in those GPS coordinates and ending up in Pakistan... You have to put the - in front of the longitude, so it's actually 30.231001, -82.121863, unless you want to book a really really long flight. 

I also found a single house on the road right near the entrance of the field, so you can put:  10050 Camp Tracy Rd, Glen St Mary, FL 32040 into your NAV system and it will get you really really close to the gate, and Gene's road side signs should make it pretty obvious too.

 At this time the long range forecast for the KOI looks very good. I'm trying to figure out how to attached a short video of the flying field, having problems with the size!

I see on the flyer that there are no RV hookups, but camping is allowed.
Would it be okay to arrive Thursday afternoon and camp thru Sunday afternoon? Just wondering about after hours access, locked gates, etc.
