King Orange International DOWNLOAD THE NEW WAIVER
« on: October 11, 2012, 08:48:09 PM »
Attention Stunt Community!!!

The King Orange International Regional District V event is moving back to:  OLF Whitehouse, Jacksonville, FL 32220     See attached flier & waiver

8000’ of Runway!!!!!!!
Dates:   January 18, 19, 20, 2013

Field open:   7:00am to 6:00pm all three days.

I have just received the letter of confirmation back from the Navy approving the dates and times. The sanction is on the way to the AMA. There is one stipulation, the Navy requires that all participants (and all persons in your party) fill out and sign a Liability waiver .
I need them back on or before January 11, 2013 so I can turn them into the Navy.  This is one week prior to the contest. If you are undecided or not sure if you will be able to come to the contest, you need to fill out a waiver anyway.

Please download fill out and sign the attached form and snail mail it back to me.

1. download and save a copy to your computer
2. open it click the sign tab button at the r/h top of the page
3. fill out the form and print it. after printing it sign it in black ink.
4. then in an envelope (snail mail) the form to me at the following address.

Lynn Weedman
CD King Orange International
148 Calle De Leon
St. Augustine, FL 32086-5430

The forms need to be signed by hand for the Navy.

Thanks, Lynn Weedman Vice President X47 Flyers & CD for The King Orange International.

Can't wait, the KOI is lays a well attended and run contest,Over the years. KOI has moved around to  several very nice sites closeto Jacksonville Florida . The various filds come and go due to availability and cost to use. They are very lucky to have had all of the options over the years,Tom and Lynn Weedman and their entire family work hard to keep the KOI alive ,

White  house field is one  of my favorites, with unlimited practice circles  , clean  active runway ,  very close to  the holiday inn , and at least 45 minutes closer for me to drive from NC.

And who does not want  to go to sunny Florida in January

Is that field operational? We used to have a contest at an airport in western Massachusetts. It was wonderful to see planes landing and taking off on the background.

I will most certainly be attending this contest, even if I have to walk to get there!!!  It's only an hour or two from where I am now!!!!!!!!!!

Time to start recruiting some of my friends to go to the contest with me and help expose them of CL aerobatics!!! H^^

What happened to that parking lot we used last time. What ever happened to the field of dreams?

The site in Starke, Fl became too expensive to use and the parking lot size restricted the amount of circles to (2) so practice was limited.
The trees and building created turbulance and, the distraction from the train tracks was not good for competition.

The Field of Dreams ???? Ha!!! I'm not going into that farce! it's in the past not to be discussed as far as I'm concerned, but thanks for asking.

Whitehouse is an active Navy air strip used for practice landings and emergency landing activity. We use the site on weekends but only after the Navy has issued clearance for use of the site to us. If you have never been there to one of our KOI events you don't know what you are missing, 8000' of runway man!! y1
no waiting for a practice flight !!!!
food on site.
conltrol line vendors too.

it is operational but it is used for practice landings and emergency landing activity.
I have been in negotiations with the Navy Legal Department and the we have been approved for all tree days 7 am to 6pm.
so there will be no full scale aircraft activity at Whitehouse OLF on the dates of the contest. Jan 18, 19,20, 2013. H^^

Thanks for the KUDO's Will,
We do try to keep the pulse of the KOI beating year after year.
But it happens because people in the stunt community volunteer there time to work the contest as well as compete in it.
So that being said,
Thanks to all that have helped us put on the event in the past years. H^^

Going to the HR  website now to put in vacation request- life's messed up when I have to put in vacation request to attend a contest 2 hrs from home, but get to go to contests 2,000 miles away if I get a weekend off at the right time.

Hope to see you all there, and that it is sunny and warm- not cold and rainy like it is here in Portland, OR .

Well it's 1934 miles from Tucson AZ...and that's a looong way.  Probably won't make it.  I used to live in Florida and attended the KO in  1959 and 1972,73 (I think???).  Would like to go back someday but you Texans have to get the price of GAS down first!!!

Yeah I know...it's not your fault...

Or, you could use this one I converted to PDF... Don't use the electronic signature, just could fill out the form on screen, then print it and then initial and sign it with a pen and send it back to Lynn.

Lynn, if you don't want this up here, I'll pull it off, let me know.

Perhaps because I used the B&W setting, not grayscale? Not sure... your PDF print util should have quality settings you can tweak also, depending on the brand you use. When you print hard copy, you can force to full page... and still use the form I sent.

I spoke to Lynn and he sent me the new amended one to turn into a PDF form and reduce the size, I finished and emailed it to him so he can post at the top of the thread. He may have hit the rack already, he had the long shift at work today, but I'm sure he'll post it soon as he's able.

Can spectators sign a waiver upon arrival?

Tom,
I'm sure we will have a few instances of that going on, But remember this is a government controled facility so if anyone you know may even be thinking of coming please get um a waiver so there are no issues at the gate.

Thanks, Lynn Weedman CD

Hey Lynn, this is sort of a dumb question, but how do I fill out a jpeg form and then email it back?  Can I just print it and snail mail it back to you?
