Just got back from 2 days at Oshkosh. Flew all afternoon on Saturday. My 2 boys, who don't like airplanes that much pitted for me all day.
I was proud of them. They learned how to start a norvel, tune it and launch. We had some bad launches, he was still learning and we wrecked one
plane and Art wasn't happy. I told Art it was my fault(pilot).....
My oldest kid said the best thing. "I still don't like model airplanes, but now I really understand why you do".
Sunday, my oldest had to leave for a college visit, so I went back alone. I pitted and flew a bit.
Sunday is a short day, and Bud looked tired so I helped out both shifts.
I did go to the FlyMarket, and I am happy to say that the demons of cheap drill bits and show-ending-specials on T shirts did not tempt me.
The $10 Chinese Binks paint gun #7 copies almost got me though.
Next year I need to come during the week and get to see a little more of the show.
Pilots, Kidventure needs guys that can teach kids to fly CL . many hands make short work. It isn't easy, it's tiring, but the rewards are great.
