Bob's niece called to let me know Bob is in the hospital and having surgery this evening for a spinal infection. This will be the first of three such surgeries. The issue runs the full length of his spine and has caused some loss in hand movement. Let's send some energy his way......

Prayers for you, Bob. Get better my friend.

Bob is a super nice guy....along with being a super builder and flyer!
I hope the operations go well and that he'll recover fully!
-
Done.
That is a worrisome procedure he is getting. My son's Mom got surgery on her spinal cord last February and was paralyzed from the waist down. Apparently, they cut some of the nerves by accident. She still cannot walk after 9 months of physical therapy. I sure hope Bob has vetted his surgeon's training, experience and complaint history.
Last year I was referred to a doctor for a cardiac procedure. I went to the first visit and met the guy and was set to get it done. I then checked his record and found he settled 2 wrongful death claims in the last 5 years. I canceled all future appts.
I pray Bob comes through okay. It is a big deal.

I just got an update from Glorianne...
"Uncle Bob's first surgery went well. His surgery got moved to this morning. He was awake and talking when I visited. Doctor says there was a lot of infection in his spine that was removed. They fused a few vertebra for stability. He has another surgery tomorrow morning for his lower spine."

Bob is one of the good guys.Always looked forward to seeing him at local contests. The North Coast Controlliners will keep him in our thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.

Bob is awake from the second surgery. He's got more function back into his right arm now and in good spirits......Glorianne doesn't know about if/when another surgery.

Just chatted with Bob (& Glorianne), as many of us know Bob has had some back & neck issues for awhile, could be he's been carrying this issue with him. He sounded pretty good. Sounds like he is going to be in the Hospital for at least a couple more days while they check his progress and figure out what's next...

Thanks for the update. Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery

Just chatted with Bob again, said the results of the first two surgeries went well but they are likely to be doing more, maybe many more to get him sorted out. Prayers remain the order of the day for the the foreseeable future...

I know Bob appreciates all his well-wishers. Today there are ups and downs. They have found new infection to deal with and are unsure about whether to go that third surgery on his back. Glorianne says the meds have him a little tired and confused but he's holding up.

I'm a little tardy, but just put Bob on the FCM prayer chain, my own prayers are for his complete recovery as well. Hang tough, Bob!

Best of luck to you, Bob. Prayers coming your way for great results and fast recovery!

Hang in there Bob!
Spine surgery can do well.
Mine resulted in a total recovery from nerve damage in my right leg.
My best wishes for your progress.

Any updates on Bob's condition?
It's been a bit since I talked to him but he told me he was going to be in a rehab hospital for quite a while. He was unable to walk nor do much with his arms....

Keep praying for Bob everybody. Until you've been there you don't know what it is like to not be able to do things for your self. D>K

Here's a Praise for prayers answered.
I spoke with Bob yesterday. He's now in rehab and doing (and sounding...) much better. He's hoping to be able to make it to the Nats, although he's very sure he won't be able to actually fly by that time. It would be great to see him there even just as a spectator; that would be a victory.
Again, prayers answered; give thanks for that...
