Starbond CA
« on: March 23, 2022, 11:14:19 AM »
Has anybody used this brand of CA.  It gets 5 star ratings on Amazon and I can have it tomorrow.  BSI will take a week and I am out.  "Quad P"

I've heard it mentioned in a lot of woodworking videos on the U-tube. Lots of people seem to like it, and I'm guessing it's pretty good.

I tried BSI and the earliest I could get it was next Mon - Fri.  You must be close to a fulfillment center that has it in stock.  I have used nothing but BSI for years.  Felt like I was cheating on my wife to order something else. LL~

If there is a Hobby Town nearby they stock a lot of BSI glue.

We have two, one 10 miles south and one 12 miles north. They open after I get to work and close before I leave.

I guess I will find out tomorrow if Starbond sucks.

They don't open till 10:00 and I go home at 7:00.  If I did make it over there, I would be forced out of habit to check their balsa supply and that would be too depressing.  Hobby Lobby, a couple of blocks from home open till 9:00 caries the Accelerator and Un-Cure, but not any of the glues.  Go Figure.

Yeah Ken, there is a center about 35 to 40 miles in this area.  My car seldom leaves the garage any more if I need stuff other than groceries.

I've been buying the small tubes from Harbor Freight when they have them on sale, like 3 or 4 tubes for .99 cents. I have a lot less waste that way if it goes bad.

Thanks to everybody!  It has arrived and it appears to work just fine.  It comes with two applicator caps and 8 of the fine point tips.  AND, it was about 1/2 the price of BSI.
