Stunt History Book - Wynn Paul

"Does anyone know the status of the planned Stunt History book by Wynn Paul? When will it be published?"
I contacted Wynn and received the following reply this morning:

Posting for Wynn Paul:

To  friends of Helen and Wynn Paul:
Helen and I are battling some serious medical problems.
Obviously, work on the book, "Stunt History-The Story of Model Aircraft Control Line Precision Aerobatics",  has suffered because of the med problems.  I have a publisher in Louisville who wants the book.  They have a "Layout artist" in Lexington who can  complete my  "crude layouts of each chapter"  and then the book will be published.  However, I have only completed the "crude layouts" for Volume I  (up to 1979).  I still need to do the page layouts for Volume II (1980 -2014). Yes, it will be a two volume set - total of about 900 pages with 1200 photos.  It is mandatory that I do the initial page layout as I quickly found out that I had to move text, move pix, and do it myself to make the flow of each chapter workable and readable.
          Bear with us.
          Regards
          Wynn Paul

I for one, cannot wait to get my hands on Wynns book.
My dad was flying  control line from the late 40's  till the mid seventies.
I picked it up where he left off.
It'll be so co cool to see the history of our hobby the way dad would have seen it.

Besides the extensive photos Wynn has had a local artist/illustrator draw renditions of many popular stunt ships.
I have seen several examples of these drawings and I can only say---Wow, they're spectacular!
I see people my age out there climbing mountains and zip lining and here I am feeling good about myself because I got my leg through my underwear without losing my balance

I heard from Wynn recently looking for some information from the old magazines and fixed him u with it, and got the magazine back from him pretty quickly, so he is still working on it. He gave no hint of when it will be finished, but to borrow a phrase, I think it will be "EPIC!"

Wynn has been working his heart out on this project.  We can all relate to medical issues interrupting our progress.  Please bear with him - it will be worth the wait.

Wynn sent me a note and a photo release form so he must be getting close to publishing.
