Hi Damien, That's one pretty airplane. When you fly it, please let us know how you like the diesel in it. What did you finish it with? Happy Holidays, Mike #^

hi mike thanks for the kind comments, the model is finished in a epoxy enamel which in australia is sold under the name of kill rust, will let you know how the engine goes when i get a chance to fly it (or crash it). have a merry christmass damien #^

Is this the Kookaburra version (by Geoff Pentland?) or Frank Warburton's or your own design?
Looks lovely whichever it is!

Can't be Warburton's '63 plane, too small, unless the plans were reduced. I built one off the AM plans back in '71.
So, just what plans/kit is it?? Original??
BTW: looks really nice! y1

hi tony and bill thanks , its the kookaburra models version by geoff pentland for a 15 to 19 engine, year of kit would be around 1964. model built by copying kit parts. here is a a couple of scans of building instuctions if your interested. cheers damien #^

Hi Bill!
Did you not know that Frank also did a Junior Tony about the same time as the big one.
It was kitted - but I can't remember who by.
I have the plan - not as nice as the Kookaburra design though.

Hi George
Thanks for comments re tony ,sorry I haven't got a pic of the frog 2.49 as my digital camera is not working properly (closeup shots are hopeless). The frog 2.49 is the same as the ones in your pic except mine has red cylinder fins ,which I think is factory tuned .Good to see another frog user out there .Have a happy and safe new year cheers damien n~
