Title: Just Received The New MA 10-5 Three Blades
Post by: Harleyman on August 25, 2007, 03:26:17 PM
I just received my shipment of the new Master Airscrew 10-5 three blade props.  Man, I cannot wait to try these out.
Bruce Malm is a class act.  He did not ask for a penny from any of us.  While writing out a check to him, I was thinking, I really hope nobody stiffs him.
Great job Bruce.  It's people like you that really make this hobby great.   BW@
Ten Thumbs Up!

Diddo!
I sent the money yesterday and the prop was here today!  Looks kewl.

Chris now if it will just stop raing at your house you and Joe can go try the new prop. And if the temps will ever cool off here in the south maybe we can fly too.

I google mapped Bruce's address. Looks like he has a lot of room to fly in the front yard, side yard and back yard. AP^

He does. I went there once to fly with him. He's got a great set-up. Flying, shooting, or whatever, he's got the room.

Got mine in the mail today!  They look like they will be a good prop to try on several engines. y1

Gonna definitely give one a shot on a Brodak 40. ;D

Thanks, Bruce!

I put one on a Prather pitch gauge today and it measures out exactly a 4 pitch with the tips closer to 3 1/2. The pitch was very consistant for all 3 blades. I'll try one tomorrow afternoon.

I got mine today, check is in the mail. If anybody doesn't pay all he has to do is publish the names, I really don't think that's going to happen. I will check mine on the pitch thingly, I hope they are 5 pitch not 4.

This is why I was asking if anyone had actually measured the pitch. The other MA 3 blades I have checked are conciderably underpitched from what they are marked and was wondering if the new prop was typical of MA's idea of pitch.

I'm not sure I understand everything that "pitch" represents other than an underchamber or airfoil shaped prop can effectively have a higher pitch than what you will measure on a pitch gauge.  ???

I will check more on  my prather pitch gauge. But my initial check was around 4.5.
