Just like old times - PropBuster Home for the weekend!
« on: September 22, 2012, 04:23:22 PM »
It was almost like old times today!!!

When I got home from work yesterday Ryan popped out from behind a door to surprise me for a weekend visit. Today we took a few hours and headed to our old local flying spot and just punched some holes in the sky with Flite Streaks. He even talked me into going two up. It was a blast from the past. He is such a good flyer, I wish we could do this more often. What a great afternoon.

On a side note, while Ryan was flying a guy pulls up with his two young boys and walks over and said he had not seen any control line flying in a number of years. He said he use to fly Ring Master and Jr. Flite Streaks when he was a kid and show me the scar on his hand that he still had from a Fox .35. I invited him to put up a flight but he declined. I told him to look our club up on the web site and invited him to our next club meeting. He said he loved the smell of castor and it brought back memories.
That is what Ryan and I did today.... relived some childhood memories. ;)

Ain't having the kids home a lot of fun?  Especially when you can fly C/L together!

Enjoy it while you can.   When college is done and he starts a family plus a job, he may not have the time.   I keep trying to get my son to go fly, but he has a new job and the rock band takes up his time now.   That Ryan kid sure has grown..

I'm hoping for a similar experience in the next week or so. Not many times like that around LA[lower Arkansas]anymore these days. Glad it still happens for ya. H^^
