Kite flyin was great this week end....but I hear Delta park was taken over with kites this week end for the NW freestyle championships.

Hey Leo and Portland gang...here is DELTA PARK FROM THE AIR...but it looks like they were afraid to use the control line circle...huh?  LL~

Schultzie...I don't see anything that looks like the CL circles in the pic. The CL site is in EAST Delta Park, if it matters. Besides, there's too many trees, and not enuf parking, by the CL circles.  HB~> Steve

I flew at East Delta after the Fireball's meeting.  I dare say the kite flyers would be much more willing to share the designated model flying area than rude self absorbed softball players.  I don't want to make a general statement and include all softball players I'm sure that isn't the case but the person I encountered Sunday afternoon qualifies.

There, I vented, I feel better I think.

Yeh...Steve, U are right. Many many many many many years ago....Leo and I flew many many many many gallons of Testors 39 and Dukes brew at that old Delta park circle when those trees were just little sticks. (Gads I wish that Leo and I had pulled those purty little teenie trees out of the ground or wacked em off with our old Plasti-coated props on our old Busters and ring-a-ding masters? ;D

We were there this weekend, Didn't see any kite flyers but found out they fly across the highway at west delta. We didn't have much wind so it may have been a bust for them but we had great flying weather. Hope to see you at the regionals.   ;D

I just check with my kite bud John Barrassimeistro at www.kitelife.com and they were kicked off that main field and had to relocate at W. Delta indeed.
Gee, those socca-baseball addicts are kinda pusheee' folks...it would seem.
Guess the AIR REALLY SUCKED FOR KITE FLYING with really weird wind changes?
He should have photos....glad I chose to stay at Cannon Beach where the wind and weather was great!
here is the link to The Delta Park flyin-deal this weekend. How bout flying three stunters at once...EZ with kites....but has any one flown two or more planes except for our Tiny Wilson?
