Larry; Happy for all you guys, and I'll have to say I am jealous. But it is a blistering 40 degrees and sunshine here now. Have a great flight for all of us here in the winter snow belt.
Blessings

Just got back from Tacoma Narrows flying site. Nice day if you're a penguin. 38 degrees, overcast, a bit windy (8-10) and the usual turbulence. But had a good time anyway.

Guess I shuda stayed there when I was stationed at Treasure Island. :-[

Wow!
All that and no earthquakes, fires, mudslides or El Nino's!

Gotta give you Randy, Pete, n' Steve...The KUDO-N-ESKOMODE' AWARDS! Pretty tough guys...(bein' the Wuzzzzthat I am....It was soo cold I couldn't even feel my fingers in my right hand. I just couldn't take the chance or risk that offer to glean a feebee flight on that beautiful Cenntenial that Steve so generously offered to let me cut some hole in the guy.
Randy. That beautiful "Shoe" is going to be an awesome flying model...once that extra nose weight is pulled out of the front end. It looks awesome not only sittin on the tarmac...but equally beautiful against that COLD BLUE SKY.
"Wonder if Peteeee's arm is in a sling tonight?
WHAAAZZZZAAAAMATTA PETE? MAN UP GUY! LL~ H^^
Randy...Don't give up on that beautiful Shoestring....I WOULD BET YA MY "LEFT-uhhh???, tire-lug-nut.. once a little weight is outta that nose you'll love that Shoestring of yours.
Especially since it turns corners so nicely and although the turbulence was pretty horrific today...your level laps were right in the groove. (Uhhh? except for that one exciting back corner of the triangle!! :o

Smultzie,
Well, if it warms up a bit, we expect to see you flying. The Shoe will get some work this week. Hope for better weather next weekend.

After I got home...my "carpooled-tunneled right paw" ached for hours...and then it kept waking me up. About 2 a.m. I gave up and "popped a left over perco-pain-pill" and although the pain was gone..I WAS WIDE AWAKE for the rest of the night!
I called my "sawbones $$$makin'man" this morn. and his nurse gave me a pretty good idea for ALL OF US OLD KOOTS! " TO NEVER LEAVE THE HOUSE WITHOUT THOSE MAGICAL LITTLE PACKETS OF "HOT HANDS!"[/glow especially when the weather is below 55 degrees.
Especially those young n' older folks with "ARTHURITIEE-OR NERVE DAMAGED HANDS N FEET!"

Wow!

...or droughts. Fly now, pay later. We are gonna pay big time come summer! Expensive desalination and water pipelines from Alaska may start looking a lot less farfetched.
Hey Larry, where's a picture of the other (better) pit? Strega (great paint scheme, Eliott), Shark 402, Voodoo (the combat one), Jimster's Orange and Pinkmobile (gotta give that guy a color blindness test LL~), but alas, no Ringmasters.

At least a pair of gloves! Even a pair of single layer, leather gloves, helps a whole bunchload. Polar Fleece fishing gloves would be good, because you could wash them to take off the castor o'l...sorta. Actually, I think my fishing gloves are neoprene foam, all half dozen pairs of them. They give a very good grip when wet (or dry), but I dunno how they'd grip with castor oil on them. I'll have to find out... LL~ Steve
