So, as it turns out, the price quoted on Maxx Wheels on Stunthanger hobbies is PER WHEEL. So when you order, take that into account. I thought I ordered 2 sets of wheels but was told that the quoted price is per wheel so I only got one set.
Well, that's OK. But it is something to be aware of. It's in the fine print on the site, but I didn't see that before. The money wasn't a big deal but I thought I was ordering 2 sets. So if I order again to get the other pair, it's more shipping. Sigh...

Not sure what you are saying. I have placed two separate orders to Maxx for those special wheels. On their order page, I clicked a "1".
I got a pair. Just what I wanted.

Floyd,
Well, I thought I had order 2 pair. I put in 2 and got 2 wheels. Go figure. Just a miscommunication, I guess.

Im sorry for the misunderstanding but here is the description from the page
2 1/4" X 1/2" Ultra Light Weight Aluminum Wheel with axle inserts for 3, 3.5, or 4mm axles. Expensive at 5.95 per wheel, but if you want the finest, lightest and most rugged wheel on the planet, this is the one. It is so nice you probably won't want to cover it up with a wheel pant! From Maxx Products.

How much do they weigh?

Robert,
No complaint. I just didn't get that. I thought I was ordering 2 pair. Money wasn't the issue, just the description. Probably should note on the web page the price per pair (particularly since they come two to a bag anyway). It just wasn't all that clear when ordering. No big deal. I'd just order 2 more, but I didn't want to pay shipping twice. I'll wait till I'm order more stuff in general then get them then.
Clint, Lightest wheels I have. Very cool.

And... prolly worth noting that even at the "per wheel" pricing, aside from looking very snazzy, and being very light, they are also a whole lot cheaper than the only previous option, the infamous Tettra wheels which are super nice too but for the 50mm (2") are about $28 each wheel (yes, EACH! Sold by the individual wheel also)

Why would any one sell wheels individually instead of a pair?? Guess I will have get the magnifying glass and start reading fine print. S?P

Never liked the two pack when I was flying RC, Always had one left over, so I had to build one more plane to make it work out. :) :) :)

Because a trike gear plane screws you.

An extra wheel makes a good handle for the drawer on a flight box though... ;D

Sure do like that Helldiver, Wayne. Still got it?

Yep, never have flown it much though. It's only 43 ounces and it flies pretty decent but it's pretty sketchy when it comes time to land the thing.

I want to be clear that this was not a complaint. Just that I wanted others to know about it. These are very cool wheels and I like them a lot. But it was something I missed and I didn't want others to misunderstand and then be unhappy. I suspect these wheels will catch on if they haven't already.
Floyd, I put a 2 in when I ordered, assuming I would get two pair of wheels. When I only got one pair (and since I missed the "price per wheel" thing, I didn't notice what would have been a big price difference), I thought they just forgot to put the other pair in. Cleared that up, but I'm still not sure how I would order 2 pair. Put "4" in the ordering slot?

If I remember correctly, the price is a pretty nice discount from what MAXX Products charges. H^^ Steve

It's kind of funny (funny-strange, not funny - haha) that the same description is on the page, "expensive at $5.95 per wheel", but they are now sold in pairs for $14.95! What a deal!
