June 2014 digital issue of Flying Models magazine
« on: December 11, 2021, 05:22:26 PM »
I down loaded the June 2014 digital edition of Flying Models Magazine, the last issue before it ended. I cannot access it . Anyone want to try and we can share it as they never published the hard copy.

I sure wish I could help you out Tom. I just don't remember their was an option for that at the time. I always bought mine from the rack at the hobby shop. I think that may have been at least one other computer ago also. The question in my mind is how many of us where aware of the option, and how prominent it was for people to have digital subscriptions to publications at that time. I've just slept too many times since then to remember!  Thayer Syme, the guy that owns the plans service now, may be able to help, and he also does a column in Model Aviation magazine periodically. he may be able to shed some light on the situation.  Good luck with the search.

Hopefully someone can figure it out and post the link, I'd REALLY like to get a look at the George Maiorana models.  y1

Thanks again. Too bad flying models went out of business after this issue.

Well, I do believe I have all the hard copies from when it was first called Flying Model in June of 1947, I think it was. And the last hard copy issue was May of 2014, wasn't it? I will have to look it up. I believe I have it's predecessor, Flying Aces pretty much covered even going back to when it didn't even have any model airplane content in it and was just a pulp fiction magazine. Towards the end of the Flying Aces run it didn't have any model content then either. I think I have most or all of the Air World and other titles that were mixed in along the way. There was hope at one time of it maybe making a comeback but  I think it's too far past that now. I ought to start at the very beginning and read one each week and work my way from beginning to end !!
  Type at you later,
