The AMA EC meeting of 8-20-12 appears to be a humdinger. While mostly around RC, there is significant material that can well effect any member. Far too much to get into here , so I suggest you take the time to read as much as you can.
Highlights for me include: 1.) AMA Forum will be closed. 2.) Lots of activity concerning AMA's disciplining of members, 90 day suspension immediately if evidenced to be violating Safety Code. 3.) Your membership renewals will
not include any campaign statements for EC election. 4.)AMA is launching a new Foundation, but member input does not appear to be included in the new
AMA Foundation Bylaws. That is funny to me because when running for AMA office some 3 times, to get a foundation started was a very significant objective. However I would never have attempted keeping the foundation out of member input and control. Being an old fellow, veteran, etc. I just have a problem with exempting those that pay the bills from having any input where the money flows.
