Stunt Clubs near Rock Island Illinois

Whats the stunt scene like out there?  Any clubs with a field?  I guess they call it the quad cities on the Illinois/Iowa border.  I may end up there this summer on a contract job.

     I have it on good authority that there once was a club there called "The Quad City Skyhawks."  I
doubt that it still exists, though. There are still people in that area that still fly, such as Floyd Layton, Russ
Gifford and Lee C, (The Leester).  I'm willing to bet that these guys might fly with you perhaps at the
Mt. Joy Airport.

Yes, we have a circle at the Mt. Joy airport.  I-80 and Brady Street (IA-61).  Floyd Layton, Lee Concannon, Russ Gifford, myself, and Larry Lindburg are the regulars.  Hope to see you there.

Joseph, when your in the area let me know, I'm in Moline next door to Rock Island. The club we belong to is the Peoria area Wyreflyers but as Crist showed we fly at the MT Joy airport (AMA membership needed).

Finally found what is in the pics and according to my yahoo map it is in front of the Davenport Airport Terminal.      Yahoo couldn't find Mt Joy Airport.   Hey its only 6 hours from me.

Sorry Doc, us locals refer it as the Mt Joy airport because it's in a burb called Mt Joy but is actually addressed as Davenport.
