Dady & son team left home Friday for the Triple Tree Aerodrome AKA Joe Nall action. My goal was to trim Revolutions to be better than what I had before. The problem was that Stunt clinic was the day before so availability was questionable at best. Anywise I pushed on with good hopes.
We arrived at 10-ish in the morning and proceeded to set up the tent bed etc and get situated at the site. Alex wanted to go have lunch I promised him Chipole so off we go on a 30min ride to get lunch. When we returned the competition was almost over so I took the time to set up a table assemble the plane and start charging the batteries.
Alex story.
Alex flew REvolutions a couple of 1min of level laps flights before the trip. He barged in to fly the yellow loaner plane and put his first training flight on the model on site. He was assisted fo rthe first couple of laps and then he was flying on his own. Then he wanted to drive the golf cart because he drove a Go Cart before  LL~ ;D :). No kids are not allowed at the wheel. We went around the flight line and Mike invited Alex to fly a combat model he had brought in for training. So here goes Alex fourth flight after a frw laps with Mike helping Alex was flying solo, and was listening too at instructions and landed the plane too in one piece.  We are batting two for two so far and no crashes. We had our own private paper airplane contest and Dady got his but whooped up by Alex paper airplane folding excellence, yes i gave him a run for his money but overall he was better. After that the little ones had their own fun time with free flight Star Wars paper plane simulations etc. Later in the afternoon Alex wanted to fly the Yellow trainer again but it was not available. Off to the shower PJs and we settled in for the night. Alex asked me if he could go and enter the contest next day, that was a surprise for me. We had Smores fire and some squires courtesy of our next door RV.  What an awesome gentleman whose name left my brain. He also allowed Alex to fly one of his planes in the contest. At night we watched a bunch of RC guise going nuts racing flying wings at night with LED lights attached to them like combat UFOs. Next day in the morning we set up the handle on the loaner plane and did a test flight on it. Soon after the contest started and Alex burned two official flights back to back, jut take off level flight and land and it was all solo flight at this time, these were his flights 5-6 on a control line plane. I was very pleasantly surprised that  other than a prop casualty in first test flight and bent landing gear after that, he had no crashes. His seventh flight was gain on the yellow trainer which he flew solo from beginning to the end nicely done controlled and even. After the contest with a battery left over I surprised him and got him to fly REvolutions, this time around the plane was capable of doing a loop so i showed him how to do it followed by his solo loop and why not started the inverted flight training too and I let him land too with minimum help, mostly advice with an awesome landing. Dady is going wild  #^ #^ #^ #^.
Dady story
My goal was to trim Revolutions to be better than what I had before. I was hoping to find time and advice to get my bird in a better flying trim than it was before. The problem was that Stunt clinic was the day before so availability was questionable at best. Luckily Derek said he would help.  After the contest was over on Friday luckily Derek and David where on hand and willing to help me trim the bird. They probably know more than I do so I handed the reins to Derek to fly my plane and see what can we do to have it trimmed better. We made some little changes little extra tip weight and elevator adjustment little lead-out position adjustment and when i got my hands on the model it was a new bird. Little changes go a long way on this bird. Saturday I did not do too good in the contest and frankly I have no clue to what I do wrong or right, what I took home with me is the realization of a need of a coach to get me in the right direction, and I call that a win. As I identify what needs to change and work at it I can only get better.
So one pilot left home, two pilots returned, one got a trophy plus was King of the paper planes (not me) and we had a blast. Great time. I want to thank all for donating time to help donating planes to fly to the organizers, you are all awesome.

We came, we flew, we wrecked, we repaired, we flew, we wrecked, we repaired, we flew. Mark and Will did an excellent job. Thanks Derek B, Dave F, Randy S, Dale B, Dave W, Bruce J and Ronnie F for all the help. This is a must attend event. Thanks to all the judges too. If I left anyone out I apologize.
