Great report, Derek!

I understand that you added an element to your demo flight during the Overhead Eight maneuver.  y1 You are a quick study and certainly know class when you see it... >:D

I enjoyed our performance together on Wednesday!  #^

Later - Bob Hunt

 ;D

Thanks Bob, I had a great time too.

Derek, you should have kept the beard from KOI and had Allen announce that Dale Earnhardt Jr was flying the noon CL demo.  That would have brought the crowd running!  >:D

What a great job by all "our folks" at the Joe Nall. A special thanks to Mark Weiss and all his efforts for making this happen and for everyone else that helped.

We may not be able to get the kids faces away from their I Phones but you guys certainly have demonstrated we are not dead!

Suprisingly I have not seen Chip Hyde mentioned on this thread. Since he is a very visible link between CL & RC I am hoping he is still working on his stunt program.
I see people my age out there climbing mountains and zip lining and here I am feeling good about myself because I got my leg through my underwear without losing my balance

Les,

Thanks for the kind words, all that were there had a great time and are already planning for changes to make the Joe Nall experience even better next year for the control line first timers,

On a side note, one guy that competed at a national level in the late 70's and early eighties asked if I had ever heard on the Stiletto  or Les McDonald, he was surprised that I knew of you, he really enjoyed our conversation, I do not recall his name, he knew of PAMPA.

I was really surprised at the number of kids that wanted to fly and really seemed to enjoy the airplanes, we were out so far that most had poor cell phone reception, that was probably a  help to get hem off of the  i phones

Doc,

If You Can, go to kid venture this year or come  To Joe Nall 2014 and volunteer to help a couple days , you will have the time of your life and help promote our hobby, alot more fun than a on test and very rewarding to see all of the kids fly
