Title: Joe Adamusko U-2 Spy Plane
Post by: Tom McClain on September 26, 2020, 12:00:52 PM: Just after the start of the Wuhan China Virus in March of 2020, I started a Joe Adamusko Flying Models U-2 spy plane. Joe told me that he campaigned his in the east coast over a couple of years and then loaned it to a hobby shop. It disappeared when the shop went out of business. He said it was a great flyer.

I finished mine in May of 2020 and painted it to resemble a CIA U-2 on loan to the Air Force at the Edwards AFB, CA test center. It is powered by an OS-35 Max S just like Joe's with a Xoar wood 2 blade 10/6 and weighs in 48 oz. Superb flyer also.

I worked on a U-2 application project designing equipment carried on a U-2R pod for high resolution photography. I got to observe the U-2 taking off and landing many times from the Lockiheed "Skunk Works".

Flying Models magazine October 1973 and the wing is built up balsa.

You do beautiful work Tom, but we've known that for many years!

Just curious about the "rightful owner" comment - do you really mean "original owner" or was it lost in some nefarious way?
