Our very own Joe Adamusko invited me to his shop earlier today to view his spectacular new stunt ship he calls "War Baby". A Reno styled P51. Joe calls the model War Baby because he himself was a WWII baby. The model was scratch build from Joe's own plans. It took two years to complete. The plane is a "take apart" design. Here are the specifics on the model:
Wing Span is 60" built up balsa,1" dihedral,630 Sq.Inches,Flaps are 1/4" C grain Stab and elevator are 20% of wing area. Stab is 3/8" built up and flat, Elevator is 1/4" C grain Fuselage top and bottom shells are 3/32 molded balsa. Rudder is trimable but not Rabe style, Canopy is from green soda bottle
Nose moment is 10 3/8", Tail moment is 18 1/2", Motor is Power 25, 870 KV
Battery is 3300 mah 4c. Top loader batter compartment Prop is 12x6 APC Electric ESC is Castle, Timer is Hubin
Ready to fly weight is 60.5 oz.
Brodak dopes used exclusively on this model's finish
Friends, all that I can tell you is the craftsmanship, finish, execution and overall look of this model is incredible. Congrats to Joe on another bar raising project. Pure "Stunt Ship" Art if you ask
me........Cheers,PhillySkip

PHENOMENAL MODEL!!! An interesting take on the Mustang, Reno type mods combined with a military scheme. Great overall detail too with "believable" ink lines, well thought out and roughly scale-like, not just another example of generically chasing around a model with a ruler and a Sharpie. Coolest model seen here in a long time! H^^

Joe is by far one of the best craftsmen I've ever had the pleasure to meet. I can look at his planes all day and keep wondering how did he do that??? Another phenomenal build!

Beautiful, as always!

George ,Joe is not a computer/Forum guy. He doesn't have a computer in the home and goes to the computer room in the clubhouse at his development to check emails and such.
I have found that Joe is incredibly helpful with all aspects of our hobby. He's willing to teach you all of his "trade secrets" in the shop and help you fly better when we're at the field.
Joe has a back bedroom in his home where he stores/displays his models.I've got to get permission to video the collection of his masterpieces and share them here on Stunthanger. I don't know how he does it. Each model looks perfect to me. Cheers,Skip

Beautiful Mustang!
How the heck does he build like that, and still find time to keep a nearly spotless shop? ;D

Skip I couldn't agree more with helping people out. I had viewed his work in Wndy videos. At last years Philly contest I introduced myself to him. Next thing I knew he invited me to sit in his car and discussed every aspect of building, finishing, and expectations of my first Nats for 2019. It was a very pleasant experience and I'm so glad I approached him. To say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement.
Please extend my compliments to him on another beautiful plane!

I've been telling Joe about the very nice comments from our friends here on Stunthanger. I could tell he was moved emotionally by the positive feedback regarding his P51. One day I'll try to go over with him to his clubhouse computer and get him on Stunthanger. No promises ,I'll see if he's open to it......Skip
